For example, the nickname androeed is currently used by seven users. The nickname John is used by 14 users, etc.
As a result of this, a decision was made to uniqueize nicknames. Let's consider an example with the nickname Andryukha:
- We take the “earliest” John from the database and check against all users whether there is the same nickname.
- If there is, then to which John we add an underscore, resulting in John_
- Then the procedure is repeated with all users.
- Thus, if your nickname turned out to be Nigibator2000_____,then you were the 5th person who was registered on the site with such a nickname.
As an addition, it should be noted that Nickname is simply your display name. While for authorization you must use a login/password pair. And just like that, your login, which you specified during registration, cannot be changed.
