DocLexi: Learn to Read & Spell

DocLexi™ is an app that helps children aged 5–7 learn to read and write through play. It was created by dyslexia specialists and is based on proven therapeutic concepts. The app is suitable for typical children as well as those struggling with reading or showing early signs of dyslexia.

The engaging storyline involves alien monsters who have stolen and broken a reading machine. The child joins the DocLexi™ team on a journey, completing tasks and collecting machine parts. Along the way, they practice visual scanning, spatial awareness, memory, sequencing, phonological processing, and phonics.

The app features over a dozen exercises, from finding letters by sound or name to building words from letters and counting syllables. Children earn coins for their achievements, which they can use to create and customize their own avatar friend. A free 4-day trial is available, followed by a monthly or yearly subscription.
