Ascent helps build healthy phone usage habits in the long term. The app pauses distracting apps, allowing you to avoid the procrastination loop from the start. It prevents unwanted scrolling through news feeds and short videos, instead enabling you to focus on mindful work and creation.

Ascent offers several features for time management. The Pause Exercise makes you reflect before opening a distracting app, helping to avoid compulsive use. Focus Session creates a dedicated space with minimized distractions by temporarily restricting access to specific apps. App Limits let you set daily usage limits, and Reminders help you regain control over your digital habits.

Additional features include blocking Reels and Shorts within apps, website blocking, and Intentions that prompt you to state your purpose before using potentially harmful apps. Shortcuts and Bookmarks streamline your workflow and shift focus to what truly matters. Ascent uses the Accessibility Service API to detect and block selected apps, with all data staying on your device.
