RD4 Groovebox

Turn your phone or tablet into a musical instrument. RD4 Groovebox is a virtual analog synthesizer, drum machine, sampler, and sequencer. For anyone familiar with similar apps or real DJ equipment, the interface will feel intuitive and easy to navigate.

The mixer features four channels with instrument selection per channel, volume controls with level indicators, direct audio effect routing, tempo control, and channel mute and solo functions. The sequencer offers two banks of two to eight bars per sample, adjustable playback modes from one to eight bars plus random modes, and a full song mode with up to 99 bars.

The analog synthesizer is modeled after legendary monophonic synthesizers from the 1970s, delivering a fat sound for electro bass and leads. It includes three oscillators with six different waveforms, each individually adjustable, along with attack, decay, sustain, and envelope settings, a pitch wheel, and a low-pass filter at 24dB per octave with four poles. Keyboard parts can be recorded in real time depending on device capabilities, and a piano roll similar to FL Studio allows for editing recorded notes. System requirements are Android 4.0 or higher, a screen resolution of 800 by 480 WVGA or above, and a 1 GHz or faster ARMv7 processor.
