Sound Meter

This is a great invention. The concept is simple, but the implementation of the application deserves attention. It is a so-called sound level meter that displays noise levels in decibels, complete with a graph showing values from the last 30 seconds.

Please note that most mobile device input circuits are calibrated for the human voice, operating within a range of 300-3400 Hz and 40-60 dB. As a result, the device filters out all out-of-band signals. Additionally, mobile devices may impose hardware limits on the input signal level, which affects measurement accuracy. For example, the Motorola Droid reaches a maximum of 100 dB, the Galaxy S reaches 81 dB, and the Galaxy S2 reaches 98 dB. The current version is 1.4.7.
