Ledger Report: A 1947 Story

Welcome to a world where every page of the ledger decides a fate. This is a turn-based narrative strategy game set in post-Independence India, from 1947 to 1965. You control five protagonists, each with their own story, and every choice affects three key stats: capital, reputation, and a hidden truth. The game has no levels, energy timers, or pay-to-win mechanics—only reading and decision-making.

Five heroes—Arjun, Leela, Rahim, Amrita, and Wansuk—represent different social strata and professions, from a stockbroker's son to an auditor and a customs clerk. Their fates intertwine with historical events like Gandhi's assassination, the rupee devaluation, and wars. Each playthrough takes 90 minutes to 2 hours, and all five stories can be completed in a weekend. The finale, 'The Account,' unlocks after finishing all five stories and reflects your previous choices.

The game features an oil-painted art style with hand-painted backdrops and character portraits. There are no ads, subscriptions, or cloud saves—everything resides on your device. Choices are permanent and cannot be undone: each decision closes a page forever. The hidden 'Truth' stat changes how the game reveals the world after crossing a threshold, unlocking unique endings.
