Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Ed.

Baldur's Gate is an RPG series, with the first part developed by Bioware and released in 1998. The game takes place in the fantasy world of Forgotten Realms, in the northern part of the continent of Faerûn. A sequel, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, was later released along with the expansion Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. We are now pleased to present a port of the second part.

The story follows the protagonist, a descendant of Bhaal, the god of murder who perished during the Time of Troubles. He and his friends are held captive by the mad wizard Irenicus. After an attack on the laboratory by thugs from the Athkatla thieves' guild, the heroes manage to escape. Imoen, the protagonist's sister, unaware of local laws, engages the mad wizard in battle, leading to their arrest by the authorities and exile to an unknown island asylum. The protagonist's quest is to find this place, and upon doing so, discovers that Irenicus has fled. The chase after him continues through the story until the final confrontation.

The gameplay is a classic role-playing game in real-time with the ability to pause tactically, allowing only orders to be given to the party. The game is divided into several story chapters but offers free exploration of the world, though some areas remain locked until specific chapters are completed. The journey begins alone, weak and unequipped, with the opportunity to recruit up to six party members later. As experience and wealth grow, they can be equipped and learn new abilities. The real-time nature of the game does not forgive player mistakes from the very start, as simple bandits and street thugs can easily kill an unprepared soldier.

The expansion introduces additional unique characters, a separate storyline, and numerous quests. In mobile versions, dynamic camera control through gestures is available, allowing easy movement with slides and zooming in and out for closer inspection.

Playing on a tablet with a Tegra 2 or equivalent GPU and firmware 4.0+ is recommended. Anyone who has played or seen games of this genre, fans of the Baldur's Gate series, Diablo, and Neverwinter, as well as lovers of old-school RPGs in general, should definitely check it out. The PC version was named Best Role-Playing Game of 2013. The game has been tested on a Samsung Galaxy Note III (N9005) with Adreno, and 100% functionality on other accelerators is unknown.
